Attractions and Features
Located on a hill in the center of Nagasaki city, Glover Garden is a former mansion of British merchants who played an active part in the Japan Industrial Revolution.
One of the houses in Glover Garden, formerly Glover House, was registered as a component of the Industrial Revolution heritage of Meiji Japan in 2015 and became a World Heritage site.
A personal highlight is the second dog house at the top of the Glover garden. In addition to being a view spot that can overlook Nagasaki City, it is interesting to be flocking in great momentum when you feed the carp in the pond in front of the house.
Of course, the Glover House, the Ringer’s house, and the House of Ortho are photogenic, and you can experience it as if you are in a foreign country.
Try to feel the unique atmosphere of Nagasaki where foreign and Japanese cultures mingle.
Recommended shooting timing is between 30 minutes and 30 minutes before sunset. The Magic Hour is the best. In the case of fireworks and night events, it is possible to aim at the night view because there are cases that are opened until 9pm. In addition, the Glover Garden has two entrance points. One is the first gate entering from Oura Catholic Church side, and the other second gate in the area of Glover Sky Road (diagonal elevator), from the top stage of Glover garden. I think whether it is good to enter from the second gate via diagonal elevator when there is a lame in the lower body, and it wants to shoot with easy access. Traffic access
Take the Nagasaki electric Tramway “Ishibashi” line and get off at the Oura Catholic Church station. A 5-minute walk up the slope of the souvenir shop street.

It is the shortest when getting off at “Glover Garden Mae” bus stop. However, when accessing from the direction of Nagasaki Station and Hamanomachi, there are many cases when you need to transit, so I do not recommend it.
There is no free parking nearby, so please park in the parking lot for a fee.”Matsugae Dai 2 Parking lot” is recommended.
