During the reign of Toyotomi Hideyoshi who is famous of Japanese samurai, warrior, general, six Franciscan missionaries and twenty Japanese congregations were executed at the hill in Nishizaka, Nagasaki City.This place has a history that many Christians have lost their lives in this area after 26 martyrs, but in 1950 it was recognized as the official pilgrimage site of Catholics, and now the museum is maintained and the whole region is controlled as a park.
The oppression of those days and the Christian faith that continued to endure it.This history exists behind the recognition of the Nagasaki Church group as a World Heritage site.
Traffic access
Get off at Nagasaki electric orbit “Nagasaki Station” and walk to NHK broadcasting building for about 5 minutes.
I think that it can go in about one meter from the taxi rank of Nagasaki station.Because it is a considerable uphill, if you are not confident taxi is good.
“Nagasaki Station” bus stop is the shortest.Please drop off at the bus stop where you can see NHK broadcasting.
