Attractions and Features
This lake, in the northern part of Nagasaki Prefecture, is called the “Phantom Lake”.The reason is that it only shows up for several days during the rainy season in one year, and the year which cannot be seen even once when there is little rainfall.
On the day when the fog haze, it is like a fantasy.
It is a caution when shooting, but boots and long sleeves are indispensable.Better if there is a waders.I think that it is best to go immediately after the heavy rains of the rainy season end because the water of the pond is pulled without a few days.
Traffic access
Approx. 15 minutes by car from Aiura Nakazato INTERCHANGE on Nishi-Kyushu Expressway.There is a parking lot at the entrance of the pond, so please park there.A few minutes walk from the parking lot.
