Attractions and Features
It takes about one hour by car via the Ioujima Ohashi Bridge from the southern part of Nagasaki city. It is long loved as a beach of Nagasaki citizens. In recent years the resort development of this island was performed.
In 2011, it was a remote island before the Ioujima Ohashi Bridge. It used to be an island that flourished as a town of coal mines, along with the island of Gunkanjima and Takashima.
Enjoy it as a resort, or hang out in the alley away from the resort.It is such an island to spend an elegant time just looking at the sea.
Traffic access
Both tram and JR are out of range.
Not recommended.
There is a private bus from Nagasaki station to Ioujima Island.You will arrive in an hour or so.
Go south of Nagasaki City and enter Ioujima from Koyagi district. If you want to use the resort facilities, please park in your parking lot. You can also go around the island in the rental cycle.
